Casa Bonita Tropical Lodge
Dominican Republic
Located in Barahona, in the still unspoiled and secluded southwest region of the Dominican Republic and adjacent to the only biosphere reserve in the country, Casa Bonita offers a unique ecological experience.

Guests have the opportunity to experience nature as its neighbors are the Sierra Barahuco Mountains, Rio Barahuco and Riosito River along with an array of flora and fauna. Casa Bonita is a testament that it is possible to live among nature peacefully. This is a place where the lush green mountains create the back drop for the perfect sunrise, the running rivers bordering the property sooth guests into relaxation and the microclimates keep the air crisp and fresh. Immersed in its surroundings, Casa Bonita staffs the local people of Barahona and maintains its own organic garden for use in the restaurant and the Tanama Spa (meaning butterfly in the native Taino language).
