The Odzala Experience
Lango & Ngaga Lodges, Odzala-Kokoua National Park, Congo
Odzala presents a rare opportunity for the modern traveller: The privilege and thrill of observing one of our closest relatives in the wild, and the exploration of a thriving rainforest ecosystem ? both of which create an aura of adventure and discovery.

Odzala-Kokoua National Park, in the heart of the sparsely populated Congo Basin, is part of the world?s second largest expanse of tropical rainforest and holds Africa?s densest population of western lowland gorillas and significant populations of forest elephant. It is also renowned as the richest forest block in central Africa for primates, with eleven diurnal species recorded.

Tracking of habituated gorilla groups, pirogue rides along lush river systems, game drives in the savannah, night drives, walks along lush forest streams and salines, and time spent at the productive forest bais shape this unique experience.

Information
Deep in the dense Congo rainforest is a place where it is possible to meet one of the great apes of Africa: the Western Lowland Gorilla. This, combined with the exploration of a remote, thriving and unspoiled rainforest system, is the Odzala experience.

This region of the vast Congo Basin contains the world?s second-largest tropical rainforest, surpassed only by the Amazon.
