The new, landmark Hotel Marqués de Riscal, a member of the Luxury Collection, is nestled in the ?City of Wine.? Designed by renowned architect Frank O. Gehry, our hotel is his second masterpiece in Spain, after Bilbao?s Guggenheim Museum. The Marqués de Riscal Restaurant and the 1860 Restaurant delight with an elite selection of wines of the world and offer the best traditional Basque-Riojan cuisine combined with modern influences.
Located in the heart of the Rioja wine region, we are ideal for a relaxed holiday or small meeting. 43 guest rooms, including 11 suites, feature a modern, comfortable atmosphere and unique design. ? he hotel?s casually chic Bistro 1860 offers the opportunity to experience traditional Spanish cuisine with an exciting modern twist. Chef Francis Paniego?s creative breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are based on fine local produce and the region?s unique cooking styles. Naturally guests are encouraged to explore new vintages to accompany their meals, something the knowledgeable sommelier is happy to help with.
? Wine & Bar shop Located just off the main lobby the hotel bar is a great place to relax with friends while sampling some of the fine vintages from the Marques de Riscal wine estate. Its bright, spacious interior bears the unmistakable stamp of designer Frank Gehry. Golden-hued timbers line the walls and floors while seating comprises scarlet Pop Art-style contemporary chairs and a series of the architect?s iconic Cloud lamps. Two walls are devoted to eye-catching wine displays. Beyond the glass doors is a large terrace where guests can enjoy their tipple surrounded by views of the rolling, grapevine-covered hills.

? The perfect place to relax and indulge in the health and beauty properties of the grape. ? Surrounded by, and with enchanting views of, the lush vineyards of the Marqués de Riscal estate this 1,400-square-meter haven of wellness promotes the rejuvenation of both mind and body.
? Specialist in vino therapy trained in the Bordeaux wine region employ wet and dry treatments based on the essence of the grape to cleanse, soothe and invigorate the skin. A unique Barrel Bath allows guests to soak in a bubbly mix of grape pomace as they gaze out over peaceful rows of vines disappearing into the distance. Other treatments include the popular Merlot, honey and wine body wraps and crushed Cabernet scrubs, both of which are designed to gently exfoliate and nourish the skin.
