AMANGANI
Wyoming, USA
Situated close to some of the USA?s finest ski slopes as well as Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, Amangani (?peaceful home?) is an all-season resort overlooking the beautiful valley of Jackson Hole in Wyoming.
Amangani is located in Jackson Hole, a high mountain valley in northwestern Wyoming. ?Nearly 7000 feet (2,135 meters) above sea level, Amangani overlooks meadows and grazing land and out to beautiful vistas of mountains.?The town of Jackson is the southern gateway to nearby Grand Teton National Park and to Yellowstone National Park, less than 60 miles (100 kilometers) away.
The 40-suite, three-story resort is set on the cliff-edge of a butte in all-but-seamless melding with the land and the mountains that surround it. Its hipped roof, crafted of cedar shakes and sod, flows like a natural outcropping. Amangani makes extensive use of Oklahoma sandstone and Pacific redwood. Douglas fir and cedar also lend shape and style to the resort. ?A soaring ceiling and wide, two-story window with stunning mountain views opens up from the lobby.
