Sanctuary Swala Camp
Tarangire Park, Tansania
What better way to discover the rugged beauty of Tarangire than with a safari on foot, accompanied by a specialist guide? Or a game drive by moonlight, exploring the park as it is transformed by night? As one of the country?s most thrilling yet least visited parks, Tarangire is renowned for its high concentrations of game, especially large herds of elephants as well as kudu, impala, giraffe, buffalo, lion, cheetah and leopard.

Guests will eat breakfast before departing camp at 7am to discover the sights and sounds of the bush. A maximum of six guests can participate in a walk which typically lasts a couple of hours. Times are of course flexible and guests will discuss the walk the day before in a short briefing. Sanctuary Swala Camp qualified guide has a wealth of knowledge about Tarangire's flora and fauna which he will share with guests as he tracks animals, explaining how to understand animal behaviour.
