Nira Alpina
Surlej, Switzerland (St. Moritz)
Nira Alpina is perched at the highest point in the small village of Surlej, at the upper end of the stunningly beautiful Engadin valley. Just five kilometres from St. Moritz, above Lake Silvaplana, our hotel is connected to the Corvatsch cable car station via a private walkway. As well as ski in, ski out access, we provide a direct connection to the finest skiing in the region. You can ascend to 3300 metres, the highest point in the ski domain, in just fifteen minutes. In summer, the adjoining cable car leads to spectacular high-altitude hiking and biking trails. Our region is famous for the expanse of turquoise lakes that lie along the plateau and for our mild microclimate with an average of 322 days? sunshine a year.
All rooms and suites feature a large terrace or balcony and floor to ceiling panoramic windows overlooking Lake Silvaplana and the Engadin range of mountains.
Taking a cue from our surroundings, the Nira Alpina cuisine is natural and fresh, with most ingredients farmed, caught, raised or bred within a few kilometres. Our chef?s inspiration, on the other hand, comes from afar. We serve world flavours to satisfy the appetites of worldly, well-travelled individuals. A typical meal might well include classic favourites from Thailand, India, Italy and Japan.
