Klaus K
Helsinki, Finland
Inspired by the nature and of Finland?s national epic, the Kalevala, Helsinki?s Klaus K hotel bears the stamp of Finland?s finest architectural and literary traditions. The Klaus Kurki hotel, a landmark for many years, has been transformed into the Klaus K with the help of reknowned Finnish architects SARC Group and international interior design by Stylt Trampoli. Located in the late-19th century Rake building, the hotel brings the Kalevala down to an intimate human scale throughout. The lead architects of the Klaus K, Antti-Matti Siikala andSarlotta Narjos, have created some of Finland?s foremost modern architectural projects including the Sanoma Talo and Helsinki?s groundbreaking Kone Building.

Each of the 137 guestrooms is given a theme illustrating the Kalevala?s primary emotional elements: desire, passion, mysticism and envy. The Klaus K aspires to go further and ?take the hotel out of the hotel? by creating an ultra-designed lifestyle experience where contrasts abound, such as the Renaissance-inspired space of the Rake Sali ballroom and the playfully designed theme rooms and suites. Overall the hotel delivers a luxurious experience that seamlessly combines Nordic tradition with cutting-edge modernity.

Klaus K is set in a national romantic era building, at the top of the Esplanade on the tree lined street Bulevardi. Cruise ship harbours/train station less than 1km away.
