B.O.G. Hotel
Bogota, Colombia
This city destination is attracting culture-hungry tourists and business travelers who now, with sublime accommodation like B.O.G. Hotel providing an alternative to faceless international hotel chains, have an extra reason to linger. Design-wise, B.O.G. Hotel echoes Bogotá?s mix of ancient and modern by cleverly combining smooth manmade materials and new building methods with natural inspiration from two of Colombia?s richest resources: gold and emeralds. B.O.G. Hotel award-winning interior designer Nini Andrade Silva has captured the lustre of gold and emeralds using tones of bronze, grey, green and beige.

Head chef Leonor Espinosa has created the Fundación Leo Espinosa in an effort to preserve the gastronomic traditions of Colombian communities based on their biological heritage. Apart from protecting Colombia?s traditional cuisine, Espinosa uses her restaurant at B.O.G. Hotel, La Leo of 86th Street, to create fusion dishes that twist international flavours into already respected recipes. The futuristic rooftop pool and minimalist bar allow unobstructed views of the city and its surrounds through a barely-there transparent screen.
