Pramoedya Ananta Toer: (6 February 1925 ? 30 April 2006) He was an Indonesian author of novels, short stories, essays, polemic and histories of his homeland and its people. Outside his country he is considered the most important Indonesian writer of the 20th Century. His novels were translated into 37 languages.

Utut Adianto Wahyuwidayat (born 16 March 1965 in Jakarta, Indonesia) is an Indonesian chess Grandmaster. He is Indonesia's top-rated player of all-time with an Elo rating of 2548. In 2005, Adianto was awarded the title of FIDE Senior Trainer.
