JEAN-JOSEPH RABEARIVELO
Jean-Joseph Rabearivelo: He lived between 1901 and 1937 and is widely considered to be Africa's first modern poet. His work shows an affinity with both the Symbolist and Surrealist poets, while remaining strongly grounded in the geography and folkloric life of Madagascar. His ost famous piece is "Translated from the Night" also translated into English.

D'Gary: he was born as Ernest Randrianasolo in 1961 an is a Madagascan musician of Bara ethnicity. His primary instrument is the acoustic guitar.
